This is one of my favourite videos ever. I originally posted it in 2009, before YouTube had discovered Kyle Franklin and his flying:

There’s a few versions of the Drunken Pilot routine on YouTube now and it remains an airshow favourite.

But at the Robins Airshow at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia, Kyle came up with a whole different angle on the stunt: he took the camera into the cockpit!

It starts slow, while the crowd watch Kyle Franklin swig his drink and go running into the airfield. At the two minute mark, though, Kyle swings into the cockpit and takes control. I love the contrast between his drunken waves and his concentration on the aircraft once he is in the air!
